Women of Note (WoN) is a 4-part community choir located in Winnipeg for adult women of all ages and varying levels of choral experience. Our choir provides an opportunity for women to join together in a spirit of sisterhood to sing an eclectic repertoire that both inspires and challenges.
Founded in 1994 by Patricia Rabson, WoN provides an enriched choral experience in three performance groups: 1. WoN Chorale- for singers with varying levels of performance skills; 2. WoN Chamber Singers- for experienced chorale musicians that sing a repertoire of medium to difficult challenge; and 3. WoN Massed Choir-combines the membership of the Chorale and Chamber singers and is dedicated to performing works written for large choirs.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays (WoN Chorale) and Thursdays (WoN Chamber Singers) from 7-9 pm at The United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street.
